The film which I am going to create a synopsis for is Love Actually, a teen orientated romantic comedy. Love Actually is set almost entirely in London, within the five weeks before Christmas. It tells the story of different relationships and many various people’s love lives, or lack of them. The main character in the film is David, who is the new bachelor prime minister. David has feelings for his new personal assistant Natalie, and is unable to express them. A relationship between John and Judy who are a pair of movie stand-ins grow closer after their love scenes. We then meet David’s older sister who is called Karen. Karen comes to realise that her husband, named Harry, is flirting with an office worker named Mia. Karen has a friend called Daniel, a widowed writer who has an eleven year old son, his son asks for advice on a girl he fancies. Attention is then turned to Jamie who is another writer who has leaves his girlfriend due to her cheating on him. Jamie then travels to France whilst writing a novel. He finds a possible romance with his Portuguese maid Aurelia, who cannot speak English fluently. Meanwhile another romance is blossoming between Harry’s American secretary Sarah and office worker Karl; however this does not happen due to her own family problems. The main link between all the love stories in Love Actually is Billy Mack, a burned out former rock star.
